1) Cell group meeting will be on THURSDAY instead. Place to be confirmed. Please make arrangements and make sure you can come for CG this week.

2) Christmas is coming up in about a month's time. Let's start preparing ourselves and get ourselves pumped up and ready for christmas. Our cell group will be having activities and party for christmas..so please feel free to voice out your suggestions and offer your service if you can. =) let's work tgt to make this year's christmas a fun and fruitful one!
Here are some ideas e.g. Carolling, xmas party etc that some of you have given..

3) Do start inviting your friends for christmas and start praying for those friends on the prospect list. Prayers is the start of all breakthroughs!! =D

4) Please note the next zone overnight PM will be on 23 Dec..There are already members who have leave off to go for the OPM! So if you have not, do try to make arrangements to go for this round.. 1) Zone overnight prayer meeting is coming up tml, Mon,9th Nov, 9pm - 3am at Riverwalk.
Let's all put in effort, step out of our comfort zone to come together to pray. Let's not just be termed 'christian' who are only enthusiastic about having fun, but when it comes to PM we run away.
Let's not just do things only at our convenience but let's all begin to step out of our comfort zone and come together to pray, especially for those of us who have not been to any zone PM and OPM..
Let's be christians of standards..

1) Cell group meeting this week will be on Thurday, place to be confirmed. For cell group this week, the theme will be " God is __________. " Everyone is to prepare and do a 3mins (max) presentation to the cell group..It can be presented in any form (e.g Skit, Drawings, Songs). So please do come prepared for an exciting and interesting time. Come ready to pull down the presence of God! =)

2) Miao Ru will be performing at NUS this coming friday at night. Let's all go down to support her! =)

3) We will be having a halloween theme this coming service. We will all have to come dressed in BLACK & WHITE, with a halloween feel..We will also be having a halloween party after service on sat at the conference room..So invite your friends down for a FUN time..
For this party, everyone is to prepare a Trick OR Treat( e.g chocolates,candies)..

1) Cell group meeting will be at 730pm at edwyn's house this coming friday. We will continue with our group competitions during cell group meeting. So please remember the verses for the wordpower competition. Let's come ready for an exciting time..=))

2) Morning and evening prayer meetings will be coming up once again from 12 -16 October..Let's try to go for all 5 days..Do mark the dates down and come down for a great time of prayers.

3) MJ zone will also be having a series of overnight prayer meetings over the next few months. Dates to be confirmed.

4) Let's all be faithful in attending our bible study whether mass or personal. For those who have not been having BS, please do approach your coordinators or qiaofen.
Also, please remember to scan your IC whenever you go for mass BS and inform miaoru whenever you had BS so that it can be keyed into the system.

1) Cell group meeting this week will be on Friday, 730pm at Edwyn's house. Let's come ready for a great word.

2) New churchwide bible study and CIC classes will start this coming wednesday 730pm at riverwalk and saturday 330pm at expo. Please go for your respective classes on the various days. Those who need new bible study lessons, please do sign up with Qiaofen asap. Let's all go for biblestudy and equip ourselves with the word of God.

3) Blood donation drive will be coming up on 19sept. Our zone needs to send in at least 100 people for this drive. If you are able to donate blood but have not sign up, please do consider signing up. Let's all do our part and save lives. =)

1) We will be having fellowship cell group this week at Shirlene's house at Tanah Merah. It will be a BBQ session with games and FUN!!!

1) Cell group meeting will be on this coming friday, 730pm at Clarence's house as Edwyn will be away in Indonesia. Edwyn you better come back SOON!! =p

1) There will be no cell group meeting this week. We will be having part 2 of the " Song of Solomon" series with Pastor Kong at hall 1 on Friday, 730pm.

2) Rev Mary Alice Iselib will be preaching this coming weekend. Please also note that services will be held at Hall 1. We will only move back to Hall 8 on the weekend of 4th July.

3) Morning and evening prayer meetings will be coming up from 8-12 June at various locations from 7-8am in the morning and 6-7pm in the evening. However, evening prayer meetings will not be available on 12 June. Let's really take time off to come together to pray!!! It's gonna be great.

1. For the next 3 weeks, we will be having combined cellgroup meeting with kevin's (N458) and michelle's (E458) cellgroups.

Each cellgroup will be split into different teams to take part in the following competitions:

1) Talentime (Team size – 2 to 5)
Each team to present an item in week 3. (eg. Singing, song composition, dance and free style)

2) Cooking (Team size – 4 to 8)
Each team to come up with creative food ideas that revolves around the theme “FLY” Showcase of actual food items in week 3.

3) Drama (Team size – 5 to 10)
Each team to write their own script and come up with a drama production that revolves around the theme “FLY”. Showcase drama in week 3.

2) This week, our combined meeting will be on Saturday at Riverwalk. Remember to invite your friends to come back and join us for a great time!

3) We will be having a cellgroup fellowship this friday evening, since there is no cellgroup meeting. Details will be confirmed at a later date.

e432 This Week's Special

Recipes for cooking lesson:

Baked prawn salad

You will need:

Some prawns
Mayonnaise
A whole orange
Honey/maple syrup
Dill weed (optional)

1) Shell the prawns thoroughly including the tail.
2) Bake the prawns in an oven at 150-200 degrees C. This is a dry cooking method and helps to draw out all the moisture in the prawns to make it crunchy instead of chewy.
3) Bake until the prawns have turned red and have become opaque and remove them from the oven.
4) Add mayonnaise, honey/maple syrup and a little pure orange juice. Grapefruit juice will also do nicely. Yogurt and sour cream are some other things you may want to consider adding. Take care not to add too much juice as the dressing will become too wet.
5) Add also a little dill weed (herb). This can be found at NTUC and goes well with all sorts of seafood.
6) No quantity is mentioned as everything is mixed together according to your taste and how many prawns you wish to cook.
7) You can also add any vegetables you like with the prawns.
8) Serve cold! Cheers!

Tomato baked rice

You will need:

Tomato sauce (I recommend Prego brand)
Minced meat
Rice
Grated cheddar cheese

1) Heat up a pan with oil. Toss some of the mince meat and stir-fry until it is brown and cooked.
2) Add the tomato sauce and let the entire mixture come to a boil. Turn off the fire.
3) Get a baking pan or cake pan or any bowl or container that can survive the oven.
4) In that pan or bowl, mix the rice with the tomato sauce until all the rice is covered. Do not add too much or too little sauce. Throw in some of the grated cheese and mix together.
5) Flatten the top of the rice-tomato mixture and cover it with cheese.
6) Bake it in an oven until the cheese turns brown on the top at about 150-200 degrees C.
7) MUST be served warm.

Pan-seared fish

You will need:

Fish fillet (I used the cheap frozen Sutchi Fillets found in NTUC)
Lemon pepper seasoning (found at NTUC)
Alternatively you can use salt and pepper and lemon juice.

1) Rinse the fish lightly with water and blot dry.
2) Season with the lemon pepper seasoning on both sides.
3) Heat up a pan with some oil and sear the fish until it is brown on both sides.
4) It is ready to be served. Simple and quick.

1) There will be no cell group meeting this week. However, we will be going down to the home this coming 20th December for our christmas production. It will be from 10 am till about 12pm
With the upcoming performance, there will also be a number of rehearsals this week. Details to be passed down again.

2) We will be having candlelight services this coming weekend on 20 and 21 December. Do invite your friends down for a heartwarming session. Let all make a difference in the lives of the people around us this christmas.

3) We will be doing up a fairytale christmas drama for the home on 20th December. All of us in the cell group will be mobilised to either act or help out in the logistics and etc. Let's all play a part in this and make this production a success. 1) ASIA CONFERENCE is coming up in 3 days time!!!

Let's come expectant and excited for a tremendous conference. And do come down for as many sessions as possible..Bring your friends down too!!!

Timing to meet to queue will be passed down to your respective coordinators. Please do make an effort to come down and queue together. Let's all be on time !!!

Below are the respective dresscodes for the various days:

1) It's the second week of November. Let's all start paying our tithes and building fund for the month. Let's be faithful in our giving. When we sow, we will definitely reap. =D

2) Reminder to all that the weekly tuesday, 6am-6pm corporate fast is still on and will continue all the way till 23rd December. Let's all start fasting together for our breakthroughs.

3) Cell group meeting will be on Friday. Details to be passed down by your respective coordinators.

4) We will be having MJ zone prayer meeting at Riverwalk, on Saturday at 1130am. Let's come ready for a great time of prayer and refreshing touch from God. It will also be a good time for us to get to know the people in our new zone. So, do make an effort to come down. See you there!!

5) Clarence will be preparing food for our fellowship after service from now onwards. So..please confirm your attendance by Friday and get $5 ready. Do also volunteer your service to help with the preparation of the food. Let's all start exercising our SERVANTHOOD today!!!

However, let's not grow complacent as it's not just about numbers but lives. Let's continue to pray for the integration of the friends who came. Let's also keep our cell group in prayer. Breaking Boundaries workshop will move from glory to glory. =D

1) We will be having a Mid-Autumn fellowship cum Powerhouse this Friday for Cell group. Every connect group is to contribute a mooncake each as well as some light refreshments( e.g. Tibits, drinks ). Venue and time to be confirmed.
Let's come expectant for an awesome time as we seek God together.
And come ready for a great fellowship as we "shang yue" and celebrate mid autumn festival.

2) Just a reminder to all: The next Breaking Boundaries workshop will be on the 20 Sept 2008 at 11am, same place. Let's continue to pray and fast for the workshop and our friends and start preparing ourselves for an even more exciting time.

All members, except those having exams are to submit a short entry of less than 500 words on your testimony from the previous workshop to your CGC by Sat before svc. Please go to your cgc if there are any queries.

Let's all put in effort for this testimony entry. Your testimony holds power and can bring encouragements.

Thanks for being a part of me all these while in the cell group, for all the things you've done for me. I am truly blessed because of this cg..
